Day 4 -Creating Job Descriptions

With the 2020-2021 school year quickly approaching, I have begun to shift gears towards the hiring process for work study students. Work study students play a vital role in the staffing efforts of many department needs including weight room coverage, game day management, laundry, and office work.
With that being said, the athletic department has turned our attention to the hiring of the upcoming school year students in preparation for the return. To help with the hiring process, I was tasked with creating new job description tasks and duties to better represent the needs of the position as it has evolved over the past few years.
The task provided me with a new outlook on the importance of a well developed job posting/ description. Within the document, the general duties need to be included along with hour expectations and the ability for flexibility within the role to help with coverage as the job changes throughout the year. Attached below are the new job descriptions for Belmont Abbey Athletics Coaches Assistant, and Game Day staff roles.
