This week we had two more events. Women's lacrosse and men's volleyball. Both events were new ones that I had never overseen work studies and their roles. Men's volleyball is obviously very similar to a women's game, however the libero tracking sheet is different and thus took time to learn, and teach to a work study who did it during the game. Once again I was able to go online and find a helpful youtube tutorial on the sheet and its usage. Luckily, the men's tracking sheet is easier than the women's, and my work study student had some past experience using it since it is the same as the high school tracking sheet which she had done before. Overall, the game went off without any hitches. As for women's lacrosse, students worked the scoreboard, PA system and we had one who does the penalty box. The penalty box being the only new addition requires someone to count down time and release players as they leave the box to reenter the game. Luckily we only had one penalty, and the student worker did an excellent job handling it when it arose.

While students were working their posts, I once again did some SID work and took more photos of the team and continued building the image archive for preperation of the spring season when multiple events are going on, and the luxury of a camera person will most likely not exist. Below is an image and story I helped work on with SID Brooks Leger! I hope that the SID experience helps me in future roles as a potential way of taking on new responsibilities and or overseeing these roles one day as an Athletic Director.
