Day 34-Some SID Work

With a full set of student workers tonight all of which that are trained and know what they are doing, I was able to some sports information work learning what it is they all do for the teams. Brooks Leger the SID for men's soccer set me up with their camera to take specific pictures (close-up action shots, team pictures). He hopes to use the large amount of pictures that I take tonight to help him with writing stories throughout the spring specifically when someone is not able to take pictures, or a game is on the road. At which point they will utilize the collection to highlight specific players on their overall accomplishments. During the game, I was able to get the large amount of pictures. Following the game, he showed me how to upload the images, how to organize them in a shared SID google drive and pick the nights photo. In addition to the photography aspect, he showed me how he typically writes up the game notes and posts on to the athletics homepage for players, fans and family to read about it. Was very interesting to see what all goes on to put out a final story for everyone to stay up to date on the program.
