Day 33-Game Day Staffing & Sign Up Genius Friday's

Another Friday has come, and I am going through the usual steps of creating my staff and student weight room signups, in addition to my game day staff signup which is a bit challenging this week.

Belmont Abbey College is hosting its first ever Tennis ITA Regional tournament which is going to be the highest tournament in terms of prestige ever. Typically, tennis tournaments are not staffed by the department; however in this case, the shear size of it along with its requirements demanded it. Thus I spent time sitting down with the tennis coach to identify the needs and requirements of staffing assistance for the weekend. He has identified trash clean up, ball runners for the number of jugs they go through, and additional electric and technology needs which will require setting up and taring down. Thus is required two work studies and a whole lot of cleaning coming up.

Along with the tennis event, the next two weeks include two more women's soccer games, a men's game, women's lacrosse along with men's volleyball. These next two weeks will be very challenging staffing the number of students we need in addition to training for men's volleyball and women's lacrosse. The positive is, it is going to go by fast!
