With today being a mid day Saturday event, many of the work studies were at practices or unavailable for other reasons such as covid etc. As a result, I was thrust into the scoresheet role which was a first for myself (even though I trained last weeks worker). The two hour contest helped me gain a new level of appreciation and understanding of the sport of volleyball, and all the things that go on behind the scenes to track a game. Working with refs to ensure all paperwork is valid, in case there was ever a play in question and simply having interactions with people such as line judges and head officials was something new.

Doing the scoresheet myself also gave me an opportunity to talk with the libero tracker and get the students opinions on work study so far this year. To my delight, they expressed their enjoyment with new roles and opportunities with the graduation of many seniors last year. The talk also helped me realize how important it is to train multiply people in the same tasks because of how busy and involved all my workers are with class, practice and other events they partake in. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience working alongside my students and taking in a full game experience.
