By design, Paul Lyon has developed a weekly 1 hour meeting that allows us the opportunity to touch base. Within the meetings, we will discuss previous week, and upcoming tasks. The goal is to allow me the opportunity to ask questions, gather any information and assistance I may need from Mr. Lyon, and plan accordingly.
This weeks check in involved discussing updates on work study's. Paul has set me up with HR, and I am officially in charge of the students. During our debrief on my meeting with Brooks Leger, it came to my attention the lack of defined duties for the work studies. Many jobs and duties were unwritten, thus it was determined that I would be creating job descriptions for a number of the work study positions. In doing so, the goal is to be more transparent with the expected duties, while also allowing us to recruit students on those same task needs.
In addition to the job descriptions, I have been given the task of reviewing three documents to ensure all compliance rules are updated and matching within the employee handbook, student handbook, and compliance manual.
